Why should you supplement your pet's diet?

The benefits are many:
Supplementation may help your pet in the following areas:

  • Increase resistance to disease
  • Prevent Cancer and Arthritis
  • Promote a longer life
  • Promote optimum health and energy levels
  • Increase luster of coat and improve skin condition
  • Improve digestion, decrease flatulence and decrease odor of feces
  • Improve bad breath
  • Improve the quality of your pet's life
  • Because you LOVE your pet (and your pet will love you for it)

There are other supplements on the market, but none can compare to Vetraceuticals.

Vetraceuticals' unique three-step program provides human-grade, high quality nutrients in different stages to ensure optimal absorption and nutrition. The ingredients in the different formulas act synergistically to help cleanse, support and nourish your pet to optimum health.

More is not always better.

Many supplements list a great many ingredients. This might seem to provide great benefits. But does it really? Just because it is natural or a supplement, does not mean it is the best thing for your pet.

Not all nutrients should be fed on a daily basis. Over-feeding of some nutrients for extended periods of times can cause gastrointestinal problems. Some nutrients, if fed long-term, can interfere with the absorption of other nutrients.

It's not quantity that counts. It's synergy and balance.
This is why Vetraceuticals' 3-step program is so important.

Why Vetraceuticals?

Quite simply, because it's the best!

  • Unique 3-step program
  • Only quality, human-grade ingredients used
  • No other product on the market like it

Variety is key to health

Consider your own diet. It probably doesn't consist of the same foods every day. A varied diet provides a wider range of different nutrients that can be utilized more effectively.

Simply because a nutritional supplement is good does not mean that it should be fed on a daily basis.

Variety and synergistic formulations allow Vetraceuticals to provide high levels of quality nutrients that are utilized in a systematic way. Each step prepares for the next step.

Each step provides a different concentration of nutrients to strengthen the overall health of your pet.

Herbs?

Many products contain herbs, which when fed on a long term basis can actually create health problems. Herbs are medicine, and most of them should be fed on a treatment basis, not as a daily diet.

Vetraceuticals is a daily health supplement. It is not meant to treat a specific disease. Instead, it is designed to help provide optimum health for your pet to help prevent diseases from forming.

Too much of a good thing?

Did you know that certain vitamins that can be toxic if overfed? Certain vitamins can accumulate in the body and actually cause health problems.

Vetraceuticals is designed to supplement commercial pet foods that already contain certain amounts of vitamins. Adding too much of a nutrient (for example a fat soluble vitamin) to the diet, can cause toxicity.

Conversely, certain vitamins don't hold up well to high heat and commercial processing, so additional amounts of those heat-susceptible vitamins are beneficial.

Not all ingredients are created equal.

Antioxidants, for example.

There are many different types of antioxidants of varying strengths and actions.

Some products claim to contain antioxidants when they have only Vitamin C and perhaps Vitamin E (of which there are varying grades and values). Vetraceuticals contains those antioxidants but utilizes much more powerful ones as well, such as coenzyme Q 10, alpha lipoic acid, mixed tocopherols, citrus bioflavanoids, quercetin, glutamine, rutin, and caretenoids. We also incorporate whole foods that contain vitamins, trace minerals, amino acids and antioxidants.

Omega 3 Fatty acids.

Some products list omega 3 fatty acids in their ingredients, but they supply them in the form of flaxseed. Many animals lack the enzyme necessary to convert the fatty acid in flaxseed (ALA) to the active beneficial omega 3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

In addition, flaxseed becomes rancid very quickly once it is ground. Adding rancid flaxseed to your pet's diet can actually cause damage by introducing oxidized, rancid oils.

The best source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids for pets is from coldwater fish oils.

Enzymes- How are they different?

Vetraceuticals contains a proprietary blend of powerful enzymes that are safe and stable.

They do not come from animal organs, so there is no risk of BSE or other pathogens.

They are acid stable, which enables them to pass through the stomach so they can digest a greater variety of food components than can enzymes from animal organs.
